C-SPAN

C-SPAN is committed to live, gavel to gavel coverage of the U.S. House of Representatives any time it is in session. C-SPAN also offers a variety of public affairs programming including congressional hearings, press briefings from the White House, State Department and Pentagon, campaign and election coverage, and international programming. Following the adjournment of the U.S. House, C-SPAN airs the day's top public policy events.


C-SPAN 2

C-SPAN 2 is committed to live, gavel to gavel coverage of the U.S. Senate any time it is in session. C-SPAN 2 also offers a balanced variety of public affairs programming when the Senate is in adjournment, including congressional committee hearings, press briefings, newsmaker speeches, international legislation and political party forums.


C-SPAN 3

C-SPAN 3 launched January 22, 2001 as a 24 hours a day, seven days a week digital channel offering viewers another choice in public affairs programming. Weekdays between 10am ET and 10pm ET C-SPAN 3 will bring viewers current Public Affairs programming, with an emphasis on LIVE events. These may include news briefings, panel discussions, and congressional hearings. From 10pm-10am ET and all weekend, C-SPAN 3 will feature American history programming. Three, 12-hour blocks of programming will air three times during a week. Each block will contain the following elements:
