SNOWE EXPRESSES SYMPATHY FOR DEATH OF MAINE SOLDIER

WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine) today expressed her deepest sympathy to the family of Sgt. 1st Class Shawn Christopher Dostie, who died in an attack near Baghdad last Friday. Dostie’s mother and father live in the Lewiston-Auburn area. Dostie was on active duty at Fort Campbell.
“Our most solemn thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Shawn Dostie, who died in the line of duty in Iraq,” said Snowe. “Although it is impossible to adequately express our gratitude for his selfless service to our country, we will always remember and honor his sacrifice.”
