WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine) today congratulated Maine resident and Navy Reserve Captain Sean Crean on being nominated by President George Bush for a promotion to Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy. Sean is currently the Small Business Administration Procurement Center Representative in Maine and he is the first reservist in all of New England to be nominated for Rear Admiral. Sean’s nomination will soon be pending Senate confirmation.

“I would like to extend my deepest congratulations to Sean for his nomination to Rear Admiral. The U.S. Navy is fortunate to have such a talented and capable Mainer working for it and have rightly selected him for this promotion. To be nominated for such a post is a tremendous honor and I know that Sean will perform admirably once he is confirmed - he will continue to make his country, and his state, proud.”
