WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine) today expressed her condolences to the family and friends of Bruce McGorrill, former head of WCSH-TV in Portland, who passed away Tuesday. Snowe issued the following statement:

“Jock and I extend our deepest condolences to Bruce’s family and loved ones during this most difficult time. Bruce was our friend and hardworking, dedicated man who served WCSH and the Portland community with excellence. I always appreciated how open he was with me in sharing his views and concerns, and I admired his commitment to broadcasters’ public service responsibilities.”
